My Journey: From Engineer to Empowering Leader
Hi, I’m Fawn Turner, and my path has been deeply rooted in the world of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. For over 20 years, I navigated the dynamic, challenging, and often exhilarating landscape of engineering, working as an electrical and mechanical engineer, project lead and manager to senior manager. I’ve been in the trenches, led complex projects, and experienced firsthand the unique triumphs and frustrations that come with being a woman driving innovation in a technical field.
Like many of you, I’ve celebrated significant wins, yet I also encountered moments where my impact felt unseen, my voice unheard, or my contributions undervalued. I realized that excelling technically wasn’t always enough to get the recognition, influence, or fulfillment I knew I (and so many other talented women) deserved. This personal journey ignited a profound passion within me: to change that experience for other women in STEM.
